Looking Forward to Fall

There’s been a decided change in the weather this past week. Last night there was a short hailstorm on parts of the Island, including Sievers.  The air was chilly enough that it took quite a while for the hail to melt.  You can see the foliage has started to turn yellow and brown and a few maple trees are beginning to show that they’re ready to give us beautiful colors this fall.

We still have some openings in upcoming classes, some of which have a fall “flavor” including the Antler/Driftwood Table Lamp class (Sept. 19-21), the Willow Harvest and Weave class (Oct. 7-10), the Chair Caning class and the Stained Glass Sweater Vest/Coat class (both Oct. 17-20).

We’ve received a number of Gathering workshop and dinner reservations.  There are still openings in each of the workshops.  Two vendors have been added to the Gathering as well:  Diane Ericson - Baskets from the Heart (Handwoven baskets) and Patty Bakke - Izora’s Beads (Beads and supplies).  We are looking forward to the Gathering Weekend (October 3 and 4) and the gorgeous fall colors that should be near their peak at that time.
