Sievers in Winter

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

Some days, the only visitors we have are the deer, turkeys and pheasants who leave their tracks in the snow.

On other days, we make baskets, learn needle felt embellishment and knit!

Thanks to Jeanette Biederman and Rich Prange, Jeanne Shay (of the Island) and Sandy De Master for teaching these classes in January.  Coming up will be Connie Westbrook leading a Random Warps/Weaving class from February 2-5 and Barbara Heike teaching a Viking Knit Bracelet class on February 11.  Later in February, the newly formed Island Weaving Study Group will spend three days weaving in the Sophie Studio.  Whether it’s deer, turkeys, pheasants, basketmakers, knitters or weavers, we’re glad they’re spending some of their winter days at Sievers!
